You’re Next, Country Music
The entertainment industry is almost entirely liberal and Democrat. Most pop musicians and rappers are left leaning. Movie stars, directors and producers are almost all liberal. And, television stars and writers are aligned with Democrats. Country music is just the opposite. It is mostly conservative. But, here they come. You’re next, country music!
Driving Liberals Nuts
As I said in previous posts, when you have power, you want more. The liberals control the majority of the entertainment industry. But, they do not control country music. There are certainly liberal artists in the country music world. But, the majority of them are conservative patriots. And, that is driving the liberals nuts.
Add to that President Trump uses Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.” at his rallies, and you can see why the Democrats are in such a lather. To them, country music represents the music of domestic terrorists. And, they want to put a stop to it right away.
Country Music Television
Step one is to start at the top. Country Music Television (CMT) was recently bought out by ViacomCBS. The first order of business under the new ownership was to urge viewers to “wear orange” in support of Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety‘s gun control campaign in recognition of National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
Entertainers from non-country channels were invited to join in. Thus, infiltrating a country television channel with “orange wearing” people that uneducated viewers believed were country performers.
2021 Country Music Awards
For the first time I can remember, the 2021 Country Music Awards had “woke” cracks. The following occurred:
- They made a contrived attempt to be inclusive, devoting airtime to artists and personalities of color. Gladys Knight performed alongside Breland and Mickey Guyton to cover the song “Friendship Train.” That’s a song about unity in a world going up in flames.
- The show was lauded for naming Linda Martell with CMT’s Equal Play Award “owing to her status as the lone black woman to have charted a solo single inside the country Top 20.”
- Anthony Mackie, the black “Captain America” star of Disney’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” made his CMT Awards debut to give the Video of the Year trophy to winners Carrie Underwood and John Legend. Yes. That John Legend.
Another Shot Fired
Awards shows are definitely seeing declining ratings lately. And, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards experienced that decline too. But, here’s the difference. CBS declined to renew the show in the future. CBS has aired the show since 1998.
Does that smell fishy? I don’t remember reading that the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards or Emmy Awards were not renewed after the last few disastrous years of ratings. And, it seems NBA basketball survived the worst ratings in their history. If you support the liberals, your safe. And, if you don’t your cancelled.
John Rich
Country music star John Rich recently made the following observations. He suggested that leftist ideologies were infiltrating the industry, and complicit country music singers were more apt to keep their mouths closed – perhaps out of fear of cancellation – thus allowing liberals to steamroll what they care about into the ground.
And, the current country music industry is getting more out of touch with the audience.
Same Old Song and Dance
Country music, open your eyes while you still have them. This is the same tired Democrat script they use to take over anything they want. First, you cut the head off the snake (aka, buy CMT). Second, you direct CMT to pay homage to liberal causes like gun control to win over weak and uneducated viewers. Third, you accuse everybody of being racist so some weak-minded people agree that they are racist. And, finally, you threaten anyone who is left until they bend the knee. Like, not renewing the awards show.
This has become a predictable strategy for them. So, consider this a warning shot, country music.
Conclusion
Country music is the final refuge for conservative entertainment. And, the Democrats know it. They are intent on cancelling or taking over anything related to conservatism, patriotism and religion. As country music fans, we need to help the country music entertainers to win this battle. Don’t turn your backs on them. Support them no matter what the Democrats do to them. Watch their shows and videos. Visit their websites. And, support their advertisers.
Remember, it’s always about money. So, if it hurts an advertiser to drop an entertainer, then that advertiser will more than likely stay. The same goes for ticketmaster and other ticket outlets.
