Why The Conservative Box?
Many of you might be asking this same question. Why the Conservative Box? Heck. Sometimes I ask myself the same question. But, then when I think about it, I remember why I chose it. And, it’s not just because I found the web domain. There’s much more to it.
Conservative
If you have been keeping up with my posts, you know that I’m a conservative. But, I’m sure you were surprised a few times when I leaned a little more liberal. One of my most read posts was about respecting the president, even if it’s Biden. Of course, he killed that notion with his demeaning speeches about republicans. You have to earn respect.
I digress. By referencing conservative, I want to make sure readers know what to expect. I know I’m not going to get a lot of liberal readers (except for the Department of Justice). But, that’s what the world has come to. Conservatives read conservative news and liberals read liberal news. So, very few people know what the other side is doing. More importantly, this is why the country is so divided.
I pledge to read some liberal news and write about it in a future post. We need some balance.
Box
Or you could say “boxes.” A box is used to store things. My posts are stored in “boxes.” Those boxes are the different categories. So, I have a box of political posts, a box of personal posts, etc. My goal is to keep filling up those boxes. As of today, I have about 250 posts distributed in those boxes. They’re getting full, but I’ll just get another box.
A box has four sides that constrain what is in it. A post can’t get out. Once it’s in “the box,” it is filed. So, my posts don’t change. My posts are filed in the box by post date. So, my posts tell a story. I find it fascinating to go back and review old posts. It’s so interesting to see the state of the country at a given time. For example, I wrote posts the whole way through coronavirus. And, it was up and down the entire way.
Conclusion
I hope you have a better understanding of my blog name. It’s actually kind of simple. But, I have had a few people ask. I’ll be opening up that “personal” box and filing this one for posterity.
