Why Isn’t Anybody Talking About This?

Last modified date

The wait for a Ford Maverick truck is 8 to 12 months

I went to my local Ford dealer today to look into buying or leasing a Maverick truck. Of course, I didn’t see any on the lot. So, I went inside to talk to a salesperson. He kind of sauntered over to me, then told me there is an eight to twelve month waiting period. He went on to say that he couldn’t even add me to the waiting list because he has people waiting all the way back to 2021. This is ridiculous. Why isn’t anybody talking about this?

Another Example

We went to turn in a leased Toyota RAV4 on Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to lease another RAV4. The salesperson told us the next RAV4 would come in the first week of August. We didn’t get to pick a color or trim. We had to take whatever came in.

Electric?

Since my spider senses were going crazy, I decided I would call a local dealer who sells electric vehicles. My hunch was that there would be a lot of electric vehicles on the lot because of the dumb push for electric vehicles. To my surprise, they only had one electric car on the lot. So much for that theory.

Chips (And I don’t mean Ponch and Jon)

I’m well aware that the issue with new cars is a chip shortage. In talking to a friend in the car business, this is a nationwide issue affecting every make of car. But, is anything being done about it? If this shortage is related to coronavirus shutdowns, then that is additional proof of the global elites wrecking our lives in every way they can. Is Kamala looking into the “root cause?”

Ultimate Question

But, my ultimate question is why nobody seems to be talking about this. I don’t hear anybody complaining. There are no articles about it. And, there are no reports on television. Most importantly, the car dealers don’t appear to be complaining. I know someone who works in the car warranty business, and I can tell you that they aren’t selling a lot of warranties. In fact, they’re cutting costs and laying people off. I can’t believe car dealers aren’t doing the same.

Consequences

There are always consequences. This is driving up the prices of used cars. It’s also driving up the prices of new cars. It’s simple economics. The demand is greater than the supply, so you can charge higher prices. I imagine a lot of people are keeping their older cars now. So, people are likely paying much higher maintenance costs. Biden says inflation is “inching up.” Don’t tell that to somebody looking for a car or maintaining an older car.

And This

This is something that blows my mind. There are people who voted for Biden that are experiencing this same problem. Yet, I still see signs for people like Josh Shapiro and John Fetterman in some yards. Why in the WORLD would you vote for more radical Democrats given this problem. I’ll never understand why people vote to live in a country that is being blown up by the Democrats.

Conclusion

I want a car. And, I’m having trouble getting one. Despite others ignoring the problem, I’m calling it out. I have never had a problem before. We’re Americans. And, Americans always figure out a solution. So, Biden gang, let some super smart Americans figure this out. Because, you sure won’t and you don’t want to.
