What Happened to Hannity?
If you have been keeping up with the news lately, you have probably seen Sean Hannity of Fox News losing his marbles over the Russian invasion of Ukraine. What happened to Hannity? He used to be one of my favorite conservative personalities. But, now he’s acting like a Bush/Cheney warmonger.
Theory 1
Maybe Hannity’s true colors are showing. Perhaps he really wants World War III. It’ll give him something to talk about for years. I don’t know how he got so far off center. How did he hide this side of his personality all of these years?
Theory 2
Maybe he is using a “shock jock” approach because his viewership numbers are dwindling. I’m sure he doesn’t like that Tucker Carlson is blowing him out of the water in viewership. He used to be “the man” at Fox News. Now, Tucker is “the man.” And, I’ll bet Hannity doesn’t like that very much.
Theory 3
Maybe Hannity is just brash and rude. His questions are five minutes long and he talks over people he disagrees with. He is very opinionated as long as nobody disagrees with him. I think people are catching on to his self-serving approach.
Theory 4
Fox News has changed dramatically since the 2020 presidential election. They still project conservative views, but it doesn’t feel genuine. I’m sure Fox is telling their people how to say things. Hannity is saying things about Russia that match the war-wanting congress members’ narrative. But, he’s not giving consideration to a lot of his viewers that disagree.
Theory 5 (Most Likely)
In some warped way, Hannity thinks that World War III will hurt Biden and the Democrats. So, he’s stoking the fire as much as he can to make them look stupid. But at what cost? Death and destruction. If this is his end game, he is one of the worst people on the planet.
