What Does the Government Know?

Last modified date

I know a woman who went to the bank to withdraw $5000. The bank teller said when the sum is that large, she has to ask why it’s being withdrawn. Surprised, the woman said “because it’s my money.” The teller was annoyed, but she wrote that reason down on her paper. This situation got me thinking. What does the government know about us?

Where and When

Cell phones allow us to be tracked

Thanks to our cell phones, the government knows where we are, where we go, and when we are at different places. If you have ever watched a crime documentary, the police always use cell tower data to track a suspect. The federal government used cell phone data to find out who was at the January 6 demonstration.

So, they know when we are at home and for how long. And, they know when we go to church and how often. They know who we visit and for how long. They know where we shop and for how long. And, they know where we go on vacation and for how long.

Basically, they know every move we make.

Groceries

Many of us have shopper cards at grocery stores. Supposedly, these are used to provide us with coupons for items we purchase often and to get discounts. I see the discounts work sometimes, but I don’t remember ever getting a coupon for something I purchase often. My spider senses tell me that this data is provided to the government so they know what we buy, where we shop, what we spend and how often. Nobody is going to fool me into believing this doesn’t happen.

This data would be invaluable to the government so they know how to manipulate supply to raise prices and what food changes can be made for The Green New Deal.

Banking

As I mentioned above, the bank wants to know why you want to withdraw your own money. Recently, there has been a threat that every bank transaction over $600 will be collected by the government. The rationale is that the IRS will know when someone cheats on their taxes. But, I think it is more dastardly. I think the government wants this data stored in a database for their evil wealth redistribution objective. In a socialist society, they want everybody to be equal. They call this equity. And, I’ll bet the elites like Nancy Pelosi will be exempt from this personal intrusion.

Credit

Every time you use a credit card, the transaction is captured by the credit card carrier and potentially supplied to the government. They know where we purchase something, when we purchase something and how much we spend. They know what our credit card balances are and how much we pay monthly. And they know if we are in debt and by how much. Finally, they know our credit score, and if we have multiple credit cards.

Cameras

Hidden cameras are almost everywhere

Hidden cameras are everywhere. They are on street corners, in businesses, and on traffic lights. They use cameras on highways to patrol speeding and construction zones. I have also seen a camera on the back of one of those little signs that say the speed limit and display how fast you are going. People even have cameras guarding their homes. I have a camera on my front porch so I know when a package is delivered.

But, the focus here are the cameras on street corners, traffic lights and highways. Again, they know where you are, where you’re going and what you’re doing. They will also send you a citation if you’re caught speeding. The camera takes a picture of your license plate, and you have to trust that you were actually speeding.

I read recently that they want to implement facial recognition on some of the cameras. And, even use some sort of artificial intelligence to identify a person who wants to commit a crime and stop the crime before it happens. That’s scary stuff.

Work

Through taxes, the government knows where we work and what we do. But, many of you might have a key fob or code to enter your building. I’m sure your company tracks when you use your key fob or enter your code to enter the building. In Biden’s socialist state, the government could subpoena that data. Again, they would know when you are at work and when you’re not. Potentially, they can know when you are out on PTO.

The IRS knows how much money we make and what we spend on healthcare. They know how much is in our retirement plans and if we withdrew any funds. They know almost everything about us.

Internet

Our Internet activity is tracked by our Internet Service Provider (ISP). They know what sites we visit, how often we visit and how long we stay on a website. They know where we shop and what we buy (the URL usually shows what we buy). The government can access this information for a criminal investigation, but who knows how this can be abused by Biden.

I guarantee that Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google are keeping track of our data. In fact, I know that Mark Zuckerberg testified before Congress that big tech shares data to develop models. Google knows everything you search for. No data is protected anymore.

Fitbit

The data on a Fitbit has to be stored somewhere. And, it could be shared with the government. If it is, they will know your sleep schedule, your activity and your health statistics like your pulse. Why would this be important to the government? Because as we move toward socialist healthcare, they can decide who gets healthcare and in what order. Not based on your healthcare need, but based on your health profile.

Conclusion

These are just some of the things to consider. With just these alone, the government has a thorough profile for all of us. It all depends on what they do with the data. Prior to Biden, this was less of an issue. But now, it is a major concern. Biden doesn’t care about us, and he has already started using this data illegally to threaten and harm people who don’t agree with his deranged policies.

There is an even greater concern though. I read that China has a thorough profile on every American. I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden helped them since he is beholden to them for he and his son’s illegal activities in China.
