The Jake Corman Effect
The House of Representatives has Speaker Nancy Pelosi. And, Pennsylvania has Senator Jake Corman. They think they’re shrewd politicians, but they’re just bullies who throw people under the bus faster than the bus is actually going. Now, the relevancy of my vote is subject to the Jake Corman effect. And, I have zero confidence that I will ever know if my vote in the 2020 election truly counted amongst all of the shenanigans.
Senator Doug Mastriano
One never truly knows what goes on in the world of politics. But, lying is pretty commonplace. Regardless of what Jake Corman is saying right now, Senator Doug Mastriano has been leading the effort in Pennsylvania to find out if anything untoward happened in the election. As far as I know, Senator Corman hasn’t taken any action until now. And, his actions now look like obstruction.
While nothing was happening, I applaud Senator Mastriano for standing up for people like me. Somebody needed to do it. I’m sorry if your toes got stepped on Senator Corman. You had every chance to carry the torch for the fine residents of Pennsylvania. But, you were in hiding. It makes me wonder about your true intentions.
Senator Chris Dush
So now the torch has been passed to Senator Chris Dush to conduct a full “investigatory” audit of previous elections to improve our election system going forward. I do like his credentials, but the prior sentence says “investigatory” and “going forward.” That means the audit will not be forensic and the audit will not be focused on the sacredness of my and your votes in the 2020 election.
This is like an investigation into a fatal shooting where the police say we’re not focused on how the person died. That’s in the past. But, we’re going to do an investigation to make sure it doesn’t ever happen again.
Senator Jake Corman
You’re playing your hand wrong Senator Corman. Although, I’m sure you think just the opposite. Here are a few suggestions:
- The audit MUST be forensic.
- The audit MUST identify discrepancies in the 2020 election and a report needs to be made public.
- You need all hands on deck, so I suggest you make peace with Senator Mastriano and get him on the team. Don’t be childish. He has passion about the people of Pennsylvania, and I, for one, appreciate that more than you’ll ever know.
- You need to make sure that the audit validates the vote of every Pennsylvanian.
- This can’t be a bait and switch. You need to make sure you don’t delay it. It needs to happen now!
- Get to work and I’ll support you. If you find solid proof that nothing happened in the 2020 election, then I’ll accept that and move on in my life. But, if you find solid proof that something illegal happened, I want to know about that, and I want to know what you will do to protect my 2020 election vote as well as my future votes.
Conclusion
Senator Corman has played his hand. Senator Mastriano has been replaced by Senator Dush after representing Pennsylvanians since the election while nobody else has. The stated goals of the audit Senator Corman is proposing are soft. If he’s going to spend my money, I want a forensic audit. Not some softball audit just to say he did one. The ball is in your court now Senator Corman. Don’t let us down. Because if you do, we’ll never forget.
