The Confused Conservatives
Sometimes I talk to people who appear to be conservative until they open their mouth. Then, it is like talking to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The confused conservatives repeat talking points that clearly come from our mainstream media, Hollywood and professional sports. I’m amazed at how people who are intelligent can be manipulated so easily.
Media
A lot of conservatives won’t turn off ABC, CBS and NBC news. And, Fox News is more mainstream than conservative these days. These news programs are completely biased to liberal views. For example, if a conservative person saved the world from destruction, they either would not cover it or they would report that the person is a racist Nazi.
So, it’s interesting to listen to the confused conservative. You can tell as soon as they complete a sentence that it is straight from the biased media. As a recent example, Joe Biden is now saying that the open border is Trump’s fault. I can picture talking to these people and having them parrot this back to me. Can you imagine believing everything you hear and read without question or proof? My guess is that it is easier to have someone else think for you than to think for yourself.
It’s not just television. The newspapers like the New York Times are just as bad if not worse. And unfortunately, the confused conservatives won’t put these liberal rags down.
Hollywood
This one is intriguing. For many confused conservatives, they value the opinion of a celebrity over reality. For example, if Robert DeNiro says that President Trump shot an illegal alien at the Texas border, they believe it without question. And then, they repeat that back in conversation with others. For the record, that is spreading disinformation. So, maybe that’s why they accuse conservatives of spreading disinformation. Because conservatives are spreading their disinformation.
I’ll tell you something about Hollywood personalities. They have more money than we will ever have. Inflation and higher taxes don’t matter to them. They don’t live paycheck to paycheck, and they don’t have to worry about paying the electric bill. So, they can support liberal policies regardless of the financial impact it has on them. The confused conservatives seem to overlook this.
Sports
This one intrigues me too. If LeBron James says that you should do something, some confused conservatives do it. They do it because they believe LeBron James knows what he is talking about. After all, he can take twenty steps before dribbling and make a basket.
Heading into the Super Bowl, I must address Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Fondly known as “Mr. Pfizer,” Kelce is a big proponent of getting vaccinated for coronavirus. So, a football player with no medical background is telling you what to put in your body. And, there are many confused conservatives who listen to him at face value. Does that make any sense whatsoever? And, I can just hear someone telling me that she got vaccinated because Travis Kelce said to do it.
Conclusion
People are so lazy. They don’t want to think for themselves, so they let other people think for them. And, this happens more than you know. When I hear something from somebody that makes me scratch my head, I always know the person is parroting back something they heard. This is a major issue that conservatives need to overcome because the confused conservatives are rapidly becoming the robot liberals.
