Ten Midterm Election Thoughts

Last modified date

The 2022 midterm election was quite interesting. In many ways, it was Déjà vu from the 2020 presidential election. My initial reaction was being numb. I’ve come around since then. But, here are my ten midterm election thoughts.

Ronna

Ronna (Romney) McDaniel has been the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) since 2017. How is it possible she still had a job at 10pm on election night?

Trump

I don’t think it’s fair to blame President Trump for poor performance. That’s exactly what the Democrats want. That way they don’t have to keep throwing spaghetti against the wall to try and prevent him from running in 2024.

Trump made a horrible decision to endorse Dr. Oz, so that’s one mistake. He better lay off DeSantis though. We don’t need that right now. He’s going to lose people over that if he keeps it up.

Mitch

Mitch McConnell

Here is a perfect place to lay some serious blame. First, he called the Republican candidates “low quality.” Then, he played games with his little purse strings by pulling money from candidates. The way it works Mitch is that you support all Republican candidates equally to win elections.

If they vote this weasel back into a leadership position, I’m going berserk. And, a lot more people too. He needs to be done as a leader. You don’t play favorites. You play as a team!

McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy would be a horrible leader in the House of Representatives. Did he do anything of substance to help Republican candidates in the elections? He’s just not a strong enough leader. In fact, he’s a “milque toast.” Electing him as a leader means two years of supporting Democrat desires. He won’t stand up to the evil Democrats. We can’t have that. Republicans need to be ruthless.

Stacey and Beto

Please name me two politicians (not named Biden or Fetterman) that are worse that Stacey Abrams and Beto O’Rourke. Did the Democrats really think either of them would win? I say run them both in 2024. You won’t even be able to cheat them to victory.

Fetterman and the Dead Guy

Oh, my happy home state of Pennsylvania. We elected a radical, crooked governor, a senator who can barely think and speak, and a dead Democrat. Biden and the Democrats stopped fracking and the Keystone pipeline resulting in significant job losses. So, the Pennsylvania voters decided to go back for more abuse.

Josh Shapiro wants to defund the police, so the Pennsylvania police union endorsed him. Philadelphia is a death zone, so they voted for Fetterman who wants to release hard criminals. I’m not sure of the positions of the dead Democrat, but it doesn’t matter to the voters. Most probably didn’t even know he was dead.

I absolutely can’t make this stuff up!

Election Results

Enough is enough. We need to go back to getting votes counted and election results on the night of the election. It used to be that way before the Democrats started a new way of cheating. This needs to be the law for every election. I don’t trust this process of dragging the vote counting for days and/or weeks. It’s not fair to the people and especially the candidates.

By the way, get rid of the voting machines. That experiment is over.

DeSantis

A lot of Republicans moved to Florida since 2020. A lot of the Latino community broke Republican. But, this victory was all about the job he did. Especially, during the coronavirus pandemic. I think DeSantis was all alone in the country for maintaining common sense policies. He didn’t infringe on people’s rights. He allowed people to make their own decisions about themselves and their children. You were treated like an adult in Florida. And, they rewarded him big time!

Whitmer, Hochul and Pritzker

On the other side of DeSantis, Michigan, New York, and Illinois re-elected governors that mishandled the coronavirus pandemic and treated people like children. I have no idea why people in these states voted them back in, but you get what you want. Enjoy!

Maricopa County

First of all, Katie Hobbs was ultimately responsible for the election process in Arizona. So, what if she was governor?

They had two years to clean up their disastrous election process. Then, they have the same problems or worse this election. Arizona should be ashamed. It’s unacceptable.
