Republican Candidate Opinions
It’s still awfully early, but I’ll give my “way too early” Republican candidate opinions for those running for president. I don’t care that Trump is leading the pack by 50 points. Anything can happen.
Donald Trump
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Trump is trying to lose. Like Hillary Clinton, he thinks he has the nomination sewn up, so he’s positioning for the general election. He still accepts no culpability for the coronavirus vaccine. And, now he is jilting his base on abortion. It seems like he is willing to disenfranchise his base to pursue a few votes from liberals on abortion. He will pay.
Ron DeSantis
I’m perplexed that DeSantis can’t get any traction. I like him, but he should have waited until 2028 when Trump isn’t in the race. Chasing Trump isn’t good for his brand.
Nikki Haley
Voting for Haley is voting for no change. She will do whatever the D.C. elites tell her to do. For the record, I don’t think she is a very smart person.
Vivek Ramaswamy
Ramaswamy was on fire, but came under attack by the other candidates because of hi success. My fear is that his star sizzled out. He’s a smart guy with really good original ideas, but he also generates some question marks.
Mike Pence
I’m not sure why Pence threw his hat in the ring. He has as much of a chance to win the nomination as me singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. The base of the Republican wouldn’t even vote for him if Trump wasn’t running. Benedict Arnold will never be the Republican nominee.
Tim Scott
There is nothing exciting about Tim Scott. He’s a nice man, but he doesn’t bring any new ideas or thoughts to the table. He can’t distinguish himself from the other candidates.
Chris Christie
I highly doubt he can even win a school board election. He’s only in it to tweak Trump. Christie is not likable and he is not a smart man.
Doug Burgum
If you know anything about Burgam, raise your hand. That’s right. We don’t know anything about him and we don’t care. Don’t get in the ring when you can’t fight.
Asa Hutchinson
Nothing but a loser who wouldn’t do anything positive for Americans. I don’t even think he likes himself.
Larry Elder
I’m intrigued with Elder. He is an outsider who isn’t afraid of the establishment. But, the Republican National Committee won’t give him a chance.
Will Hurd
I have no idea who he is and I don’t care. Save yourself some money and humiliation and get out yesterday.
