Our Leaders Can Use a History Lesson

Last modified date

I have been watching a History Channel series on Hulu named “The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen.” It details the contributions made by heroes like Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, Lewis and Clark, Sacagawea, Tecumseh, Kit Carson, Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, and John Fremont. These men were so brave. Of course, I began to compare them to today’s leaders. And, our leaders can use a history lesson. Because there is no comparison.

Biden

Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Nashville Tennessee was amazing

Biden or Andrew Jackson? Could Biden lead an undermanned group of militia to victory against a formidable opponent? Biden couldn’t lead a person out of a closet. But, here’s the thing. Andrew Jackson loved his country and he would do anything to defend it. He wanted to win because it would allow the country to expand further westward. That would provide people with more opportunities.

In stark contrast, Biden wants to allow illegal aliens into our country to limit our opportunities. That’s not leadership. It’s illegal and it’s anti-American. In fact, it’s the complete opposite of Andrew Jackson’s objective. Nobody wants to be a hero anymore. It’s easier to be a villain and hurt the people of the country. Evil has a hold on this country. I only wish Andrew Jackson could come back and exterminate these evil doers.

Kamala

Kamala or Sacagawea? Could Kamala be a critical member of a group of explorers out to discover uncharted territory? Kamala can’t even be a critical member of our government. I’ve often heard it said that the Lewis and Clark expedition is like exploring Mars today. Kamala thinks Mars is a candy bar.

Sacagawea traveled with Lewis and Clark with a newborn child. And, she bravely negotiated with Indian tribes on behalf of Lewis and Clark. In fact, her negotiation with the Shoshone tribe was a pivotal point in the success of the expedition.

In stark contrast, Kamala was asked to be the point person for the border crisis. She has done nothing. If Sacagawea chose to do nothing, the Lewis and Clark expedition would have failed. Sacagawea didn’t have to help. But, she did because she was proud and she was brave. She seized the opportunity to make a difference. Can you think of someone who did not seize an opportunity to protect our borders?

Mitch

Mitch McConnell or Daniel Boone? Could Mitch escape from a dangerous Indian tribe and run 100 miles barefoot to get back to his village? Mitch can’t even walk to the restroom with shoes on. Daniel Boone cared deeply about the people in Fort Boonesborough. He would do anything to protect them from harm.

In stark contrast, Mitch does nothing to protect anyone. All he cares about is himself. And, to that end, he actually does things to hurt people. Just look at the midterm elections. Instead of building candidates up, he tore them down. And, he decided who to give financial assistance to. Would Daniel Boone do such a thing? That’s a resounding “no.” Boone cared more about other people than himself. That’s called unselfish.

Trump

Trump or William Henry Harrison? Now we have a contest. I could see Trump ruthlessly leading militia against a dangerous foe like Tecumseh. Geez! He does pretty much the same thing every day against the Democrats. Harrison led his troops because his mission was to open up territories for westward expansion. Unfortunately, his mission was being blocked by Indian tribes. So, he did what he did for the country and it’s people.

Trump’s mission is to make America great again. That’s a noble mission that needs to happen. Based on the comparisons I made above, our leaders need a history lesson. Trump has a tall order because our leaders don’t want to make America great again. They want to keep making their wallets great again and again.

Trump is the closest thing we have to a throwback. He’s brave and he cares about our country and it’s people. He’s tough and he’s a leader. And, that’s why the Democrats hate him. They have nothing like him.

Conclusion

Sometimes, I think I’m living in the wrong era. I would have welcomed the challenges in colonial times. Can you imagine leading an expedition into uncharted territory? Or, winning a battle when your opponent has five times as many militia.

Or, can you imagine allowing illegal aliens into our country to take American jobs and our taxes?

Your choice.
