Maybe Impeaching Biden Isn’t Smart
Before I get into my theory, there is nobody more deserving of impeachment than Joe Biden. Not even Alejandro Mayorkas. Biden is a crook. But, maybe impeaching Biden isn’t smart. The Republicans need to keep Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate because President Trump is destroying him in the polls.
Sympathy
Unfortunately, voters are sympathetic when something happens to somebody. Just look at Trump. With every indictment and ridiculous judgement against him, his numbers skyrocket. Biden is one of the worst candidates in the history of our country. It would be dumb to give him any help. He has hung himself on every front.
Not Needed
I don’t think impeachment is necessary right now. The voters know he’s guilty. And, of course, the Senate won’t vote to impeach. I say table it until after the election. If he cheats and wins in 2024, then have the guns cocked for immediate impeachment in 2025.
Another Strategy
Another strategy is to continue impeachment proceedings and delay a vote. This keeps Biden off balance during his campaign. Believe me, it is under his skin. I call this the “Trump Diversion” strategy. Just like the Democrats are trying to divert Trump’s attention, the Republicans can divert Biden’s attention much the same. By the way, the reason this is under Biden’s skin is because he knows he’s guilty.
October Surprise
The Republicans can also impeach Biden in an “October surprise.” An “October surprise” is when a major thing happens just before the election. What could be more of a surprise than impeaching Biden? Especially if there is undisputable evidence to present to the American people. As mentioned previously, this needs to considered strategically because you don’t want to generate sympathy for “Ole Joe.”
It would be tremendous if the Republicans could subpoena Biden to appear in October. Can you imagine this senile, forgetful old man testifying? That would show the voters his dementia up front and personal.
Conclusion
Impeachment is a major weapon for the Republicans heading into the 2024 presidential election. Used properly, it can result in a landslide victory for Trump. But, if the Republicans misuse it, that could spell disaster. I hope the Republicans have a sound strategy.
