What is wrong with the phrase “Make America great again?” Half of Americans love it and the other half hate it. Why is this such a polarizing phrase?
For the Good
“Make America great again” is a very positive phrase. We should always be striving to make America great again. And, let’s face it, America needs to be made great again. Inflation is out of control. Twenty million illegal aliens have flown into our country. Fentanyl is maiming and killing people. The Chinese are infiltrating our country, and I’m sure their intentions are not noble.
It is perfectly fine to want to “make America great again.” So, get those hats and t-shirts out and wear them proudly. Also, tell people to join us. If they want to make America great again, they are more than welcome. Really, every American should be part of this group. What American doesn’t want America to be great?
For the Bad
And then there are the liberals. They get absolutely triggered when someone mentions “make America great again” or MAGA. To them, the people that want to make America great again are domestic terrorists that want to destroy democracy. Does that make sense to you?
The liberals complain that America is already great and doesn’t need to be improved. But, have they been watching the same demise as I have been? The liberals have destroyed the meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They want these documents to be obsolete. Then, they can make up their own rules.
Conclusion
What’s wrong with wanting your country to be great? A baseball player keeps working hard to be great. He doesn’t just assume everything is already great, so he doesn’t need to try and get better. I seriously don’t get all of the slurs aimed at us people who want to make America great again. Every American should want that.
It reminds me of the abortion issue. The people that are pro-death have no arguments, so they simply yell and scream at anyone that doesn’t agree with them. I think the same can be applied to anti-MAGA. They can’t really say that they don’t want America to be great again, so they just yell and scream nonsense. And, they try to belittle anyone who disagrees with them.
The truth is that people who are against making America great again don’t like it because Trump came up with it. If Biden said it, they would be on board in a second. They are an ignorant bunch of people.
