If Today’s Media Covered It
If there is one thing we know for absolute certain now, it’s that ninety percent of the media doesn’t even try to be fair and honest. They intentionally mislead their readers and watchers with disinformation. And, they ignore news if it doesn’t fit their narrative. For example, they are ignoring the Biden payments from China to cover Biden’s dumb visit to Canada. I’m going to take a look at some past events and see what might happen if today’s media covered it.
Gettysburg Address
The mainstream media would likely ignore the speech and run a piece about George McClellan (Lincoln’s Democratic foe in the 1864 presidential election). I’m sure the piece would be about McClellan giving a groundbreaking speech to about one hundred people on the same day. And, I’m sure the media would attack Lincoln because he wanted to free the slaves. But, of course the media would say Lincoln wanted to keep slavery and that McClellan really wanted to free the slaves.
Iran Hostage Crisis
In 1979 and 1980, 52 American diplomats and citizens were held hostage in Iran. At the time, Jimmy Carter was the president. If the mainstream media covered this story today, they would pin the blame on former presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. They would say that Carter was handed a mess that wasn’t his fault. And, they would laud Carter as a diplomat for doing nothing to get the hostages out. When president Ronald Reagan got the hostages out just after his inauguration, the media would claim that Carter did the dirty work while Reagan got the glory.
Declaration of Independence
Of course, today’s media would attack the signing of the Declaration of Independence as a fascist and racist event. They would express outrage that some of the signers had slaves, and they would cry that there wasn’t a black signer, a woman signer or a transsexual signer. The media would pick apart the document because it references God. And, they would belittle it because it endows life. They would cite abortion as an endowed right instead. And, they would hate the word liberty because there is no such thing. Government control is the best thing they would say.
Custer’s Last Stand
The Battle of Little Bighorn is commonly known as Custer’s Last Stand. Today’s media would have a field day with this. They would call Custer a bully, and they would insist that the government provide arms and money to the Indians. The media would censor anyone who takes the American troops’ side. And, they would only show manufactured clips of the Indians being tortured and killed, when in fact they were the ones torturing American soldiers. Their glee at Custer losing would be disgusting.
Ku Klux Klan
Although the liberals created the Ku Klux Klan, the media would call that Russian disinformation. Instead, they would claim that Republican domestic terrorists established the group. Oddly, Republican Christians are targets of the group, but the media twist that to say they deserve it for being too white and carrying Bibles. Covering a Klan rally, they superimpose Republican faces over members to show their audience that Republicans are the culprits. They don’t cover any of the Democrats at the rally.
Conclusion
Today’s media is a complete joke. There is no such thing as journalism anymore. The media claim that stations like Fox News are biased, but the mainstream media stations (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS) are worse. They don’t even try to cover all of the angles. It is truly state-run media now. Hopefully, these examples demonstrate just how bad the mainstream media has become. They are full of disinformation and dumb people are getting fooled.
