If Congress Lived By Our Rules

Last modified date

What if Congress lived by our rules? I wonder if they would behave differently. And, I wonder how they would feel. We are at a point in America where our senators and representatives are no longer common people. They go to Washington and they turn into “do nothing” snobs who hate us. But, what if they lived like us?

Bathrooms

It’s high time that biological men be permitted to use the women’s bathrooms in the halls of Congress. Perhaps, a female senator or representative will be assaulted in the bathroom. I read about it happening in schools more often than I care. And, I don’t think it is a priority of our Congress.

Stocks

Just imagine if our members of Congress had to play the stock market without insider knowledge. I’ll bet a lot of them wouldn’t be multi-millionaires. The American people need to come together to end this hideous practice.

Budget

Like many Americans, I spend money to a budget so I don’t overspend. Why can’t Congress spend our money to a budget too? They just keep overspending and adding to the national debt. At this point, I have no idea if, how or when the country can settle all of it’s debt. The odd thing is that nobody cares about it. If I ran my credit card debt to some outrageous amount, debtors would come for my house.

Illegal Aliens

Illegals are crossing our southern border at an alarming rate

I have an idea. How about we allow illegal aliens to live in the halls of Congress? Then, our senators and representatives will have the opportunity to experience the great replacement up close and personal. Considering that we treat illegal aliens better than citizens, I think a few should be added as Senators and representatives also.

Healthcare

Thanks to our tax money, Congress gets healthcare for almost no contribution. And, it’s the best healthcare available. So, we the people get to pay for their healthcare while we struggle to pay our own premiums. Congress should get a high deductible plan and pay 60% of the premium. And, their coverage should be mediocre. No more tax money for them. Then, they can experience what we do.
