God Doesn’t Punish

Last modified date

When I was a kid and even into adulthood, I used to think God would punish me for my sins. So, when I would do something wrong and something bad happened to me in the next few days, I honestly thought that God made it happen. But, as I’ve grown in my religion, I realize that God doesn’t punish people. He lifts us up. And, He knows we aren’t perfect. I’m sure he’s disappointed with us at times, but He never turns His back on us. It is an absolute blessing to have God in my life. I can’t imagine how some people don’t believe in God, and how empty that must be.

God is Sad

I’m sure God is sad with the state of the world right now. Tiny babies that He created are being killed by the millions. Boys that He created are being encouraged to become girls, and vice-versa. Government leaders are trying to force people to get a vaccine that is killing and harming God’s children. Boys can marry boys and girls can marry girls. And our Pope is more concerned with climate change than shepherding his flock.

As I said, God doesn’t punish. He’s not going to swoop down and destroy the Earth. He is going to turn the hearts of people that need it. It’s not going to happen in a day, a month or a year. It’s going to take some time because some people are very set in their ways. But, God can do anything.

But God Has Hope

The generation of young Republicans that are in high school, college and early adulthood right now have God in their lives. Just look at Representative Madison Cawthorn. Not all of them have God in their lives, but enough of them do to make a difference. A lot of the young adults are involved in politics and they are not afraid to give thanks to God. Just look at Matt Hanrahan, who was the ultra successful Campaign Manager for Dan Carter at age 21. Or Alex Smith, who served as national chair of the College Republican National Committee while at Seton Hall University.

I’m sure this is part of God’s plan. If He can get these young people entrenched in positions of authority, then they can attract other like-minded young people and be role models for the younger generations. The best way to defeat evil is to attract an army of good people and overtake it. I believe this has begun and that it will have a lasting impact for years to come.

Conclusion

God could certainly punish a lot of people right now. Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Pope Francis come to mind. But God doesn’t do that. If they don’t change their ways and repent, they will have to answer to God when they depart this life. And, I wouldn’t want to be them. I will never give up on God no matter what others try to do to me in this life. But, I will continue to be part of His crusade against evil in our world. I’ll continue to pray and to use this forum to spread the truth and teach our young people about the importance of religion, life and liberty. And of course, that God doesn’t punish.
